With
China just to our west and Japan eyeing Korea from the east
sea, we have endured centuries of war and politics. We have
been influenced by China, Japan, traders, and other cultures.
We look to our history, architecture, political systems,
religions, and even musical instruments. As Koreans, we
adapted things and made them our own. We have had other
countries impose their culture and language on Korea. Against
these intrusions and problems, we struggled to maintain
our language and cultural identity.
Korea
faced years of military confrontation and many lives lost
have been lost over time in Korea. But Korea survived. From
the ashes, our people have built a unique and strong industrial
state with a high standard of living. In Korea, we have
confronted the problems of life. We have demonstrated the
willingness to transform Korea with new ideas, hope and
faith.
We have
no greater hope than in our future in Jesus Christ. We can
more than overcome through Jesus Christ.
Do not
be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer
and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to
God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard you heart and minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7
For we do not
have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with out
weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way, just
as we are-yet was without sin. Let us then approach the
throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive
mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Hebrews 4:15-16
The Lord is my
rock, my fortress, and my deliver; my God is my rock, in
whom I take refuge.
Psalm 18:2
God
is love.
1 John 4:8
